Orelle Challenge

A first in the Maurienne Valley, the Orelle Challenge returns on June 27, 2026 with a unique format combining a Vertical Kilometer and a cycling hill climb.
Three race options, one mass start from the cable car square, and a single goal: be the first to the top!

This original and intense event features a mass start, with all participants setting off together from the Francoz cable car square, in a friendly and competitive atmosphere.
Start time: 9:15 am. Who will reach the summit first? Join us on race day to find out!

🏁 Three race options:
Orelle Challenge Hill Climb – cycling
Orelle Challenge VK – trail running
DUO Challenge: a team of 1 runner + 1 cyclist

📍 Courses:
Vertical Kilometer: 5 km / 1,133 m elevation gain
Cycling hill climb: 14.170 km / 1,153 m elevation gain
Finish line for all races: Arcelin parking area

👧 Orelle Kids – races for young athletes
The Orelle Challenge also includes fun races for children in the heart of the Francoz hamlet:
Ages 4–7: 330 m
Ages 8–11: 660 m
Free entry – registration on site
All children receive a prize
