La Maurienne is proud of its passes! The valley counts a dozen, including the mythical Iseran, Galibier or Croix de Fer, passed to posterity thanks to the Tour de France.
Orelle, located in the heart of the valley, is an ideal base camp to ride these legendary routes.
In July and August, some are even closed for a few hours to motorized vehicles to allow bike lovers to live a unique experience safely.
As for mountain bike enthusiasts, they are spoiled for choice: the FFC-labelled mountain bike trails are numerous and in Orelle, accessible by ski lifts in summer.
