Summer in Orelle: easily reach 3,200 metres in the Alps
This summer, the Orelle gondolas take you into the heart of the high mountains.
The Orelle and Orelle–Caron gondola lifts will be open daily from July 4 to August 30.
A unique experience to discover the Alps in summer, perfect for families, hikers, photographers and lovers of spectacular mountain landscapes.
During your visit, you can choose between two destinations, two different mountain experiences.
2,300 m – Plan Bouchet: nature, hiking and mountain activities
Plan Bouchet (2,300 m) is the perfect place to enjoy nature with family or friends. It is also the ideal starting point for summer mountain activities.
From here you can enjoy Family-friendly or more challenging hiking trails, marked mountain bike routes & stunning views over the Alpine peaks
The chance to spot marmots along the trails
You will also find a mountain restaurant with a south-facing terrace
Fishing in the Bonrieu stream is also possible
A local curiosity: “La Pierre au Pied”, an ancient rock engraved with prehistoric carvings that reflects the valley’s long history.
3,200 m – Cime Caron: a legendary Alpine summit
By continuing with the Orelle–Caron gondola, you reach the spectacular Cime Caron summit at 3,200 metres. From this iconic Alpine peak, enjoy one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the Alps, a 360° view of the highest Alpine peaks and even the Italian mountains
Caron 3200 restaurant will also be open, with the souvenir shop and some activities proposed all summer long.
On clear days, the panorama is simply one of the most impressive viewpoints in the Alps.
Throughout the summer season, events and activities will take place in Orelle, adding even more experiences to your mountain visit.
With spectacular scenery, outdoor activities and easy access to high altitude, Orelle is the perfect destination to discover the Alps in a different way this summer.
MTB and gravel bikes are allowed in the Orelle gondola only (not permitted in the Orelle–Caron gondola).
Road bikes are allowed in both gondolas as well as the Cime Caron cable car.
Animals are allowed in telecabins during summer
Due to the rapid ascent/descent and high altitude, access to the gondolas is discouraged for children under 3 years old.
Free outdoor parking in summer; covered parking is subject to a fee.
