Start your experience in Orelle's traditional villages and hamlets, where stone houses, flower-filled lanes and alpine heritage create a warm and peaceful mountain atmosphere.
2300 m - Plan Bouchet
Alpine nature
Hiking, MTB, marmots, fishing in the Bonrieu river, mountain restaurant. This alpine plateau is the perfect place to experience nature in the Alps.
3200 m - Cime Caron
One of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Alps
Continue your ascent with the Orelle-Caron gondola to reach the legendary summit of Cime Caron at 3200 metres. From the top, enjoy breathtaking views across the Alps all the way to Italy.
At the summit, Caron 3200 offers a unique high-altitude experience with its panoramic rooftop, the highest wine bar in Europe, exhibitions and immersive experiences.
Practical information
- Gondolas open every day from July 4 to August 30, 2026
- MTB and gravel bikes are allowed on the Orelle gondola (not allowed on the Orelle-Caron gondola and Cime Caron cable car)
- Road bikes allowed on all lifts
- Animals allowed
- Access not recommended for children under 3 due to rapid ascent and descent at high altitude

Bissorte & Tour du Thabor
Gateway to wild alpine landscapes
Orelle also opens the door to wilder and more remote mountain landscapes. From the Le Prec parking area, reach one of the most iconic landscapes in the Maurienne Valley: the Bissorte dam, surrounded by alpine pastures and mineral peaks.
This area is also a starting point for beautiful hikes, including Refuge des Marches and the famous Tour du Thabor.
