Orelle is part of Les 3 Vallées, The World's Largest Ski Area.
Since 1996, a gondola has been used to reach the ski area of Orelle, at Plan-Bouchet (2,300 m of altitude). From there, the Rosaël chairlift takes skiers to the junction between Orelle and Val-Thorens, then to the incredible 3 Vallées area.
Moreover the Orelle territory has the particularity of extending on both sides of the Maurienne valley, with the Bissorte dam (operated by EDF) on the north-facing side.
